Here are a couple of my pieces that will be on exhibit;
“Wisteria” 48″ x 48″ framed, acrylic on studio wrapped canvas. Tremendous color.detail, texture, and layers of interesting effects that create the hanging composition and overall form of the painting.

This is another in the abstract cityscape series, although this painting is more in an impressionist form. 20″x24″ acrylic on studio wrapped canvas with an underlayer of texture. This view is from the lake in the wonderful Piedmont Park.
Just finished this unusual commission. The client asked for a painting of a typical North Carolina inner banks waterway scene on a piece of driftwood found in the Pamlico River in Washington, NC. The piece is 10′ wide by 10″ high and has a very weathered rough surface. It is a beautiful piece of wood with old nail holes along the edges. I used the natural contours of the wood to inform the overall composition. The painting is like a series of small paintings and visual narrative of the river. It was both fun and challenging to paint.
Here are selected images from the piece;
The above picture was taken as a work in progress, the other images above are sections of the finished piece.
